A draw for many people was the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament on Saturday, presented by Northwood University. Dylan Bare drove an hour and 10 minutes with his gaming partner Ryan Gergel to enter the tournament.
“Usually we go to smaller tournaments, like local tournaments, so it’s just kind of cool to be at a bigger one and seeing a bunch of different players,” Gergel said.
Other tournaments at the festival included a Mario Kart open tournament, a youth Fortnite tournament and a collegiate Valorant tournament.
